What is Mastic?

The durable, lower-cost sealing method for joints that can physically be reached. Applied with mesh at seams, boots and plenum connections, and used with closure systems listed for duct sealing. Its only real limitation is access — it cannot seal a joint inside a wall, so on systems with concealed leakage it is not a complete answer on its own.
