Return Air

The path air takes back to the air handler — the half of the system most often undersized.

What is Return Air?

The ducting and grilles that bring air back to the equipment. If the return path is inadequate for the system's tonnage, the result is rooms that never balance, doors that thump when the system starts, and a blower permanently working harder than designed. A useful test: if closing a room's door makes it worse, that room has a return-path problem, not a supply problem.

Water intrusion in the ducts, a musty smell that won't quit, or vermin in the system? We answer 7 AM to midnight and every visit ends with camera photos and a written verdict — including a straight "your ducts are fine" when that's what we find. After-hours dispatch runs subject to crew availability.
