What is Rigid Sheet-Metal Duct?

Metal ductwork fabricated and assembled to the sheet-metal industry's construction standards, then sealed and insulated. It costs more than flexible duct and lasts the life of the building, which is why main trunks and plenum takeoffs should be metal even where branches are flex.
