Whole-home fragrance through the supply plenum — and a straight answer about what it does and does not do.
01Mansfield — the housing record

What that means for ducts
Mixed-era stock
Mansfield splits across build eras — 3% pre-1980, 25% since 2010 — so two houses on the same street can need completely different work. It is the case where guessing from the curb is worst, and where a camera before a quote saves the most money.
That is a reading of the city’s stock, not a diagnosis of your home. Which of it applies to you is exactly what the camera settles — and why we would rather run one than quote from a postcode.
02Working in Mansfield
The part that changes from street to street.
More than half of Mansfield went up in the 2000s, in Walnut Creek, Twin Creeks and Stratford Park, and by now most of those houses are on their second HVAC system. The equipment got replaced. The ductwork did not. So the common Mansfield setup is a modern variable-speed unit connected to twenty-year-old flex that was sized and strapped for a single-speed machine, and the two do not want the same things. A variable-speed blower runs longer at lower airflow, which is better for humidity and worse for a run that sags between supports, because slow air drops what it is carrying in exactly those low spots. Fuel here is genuinely mixed, much closer to even than the rest of southern Tarrant County, so we do not arrive assuming a heat pump. And in these two-story plans the upstairs air handler sits in the attic with a horizontal coil over a secondary pan, directly above a bedroom ceiling. When somebody in Mansfield calls about a stain, the coil and the drain are the first two things we open, not the duct.

Source removal to the NADCA ACR standard, a written quote before anything is touched, and camera photographs of your own runs before and after. We are not going to re-argue that on every city page — it is set out once, in full, on the service page.

04Questions
Asked in Mansfield, answered straight.
We replaced the AC three years ago and the house still does not feel right.
Common here, and it is usually the duct rather than the equipment. New systems get connected to whatever is already in the attic, and a run installed for a single-speed unit in 2004 behaves differently under a variable-speed blower. We measure airflow at the registers and static across the unit, then tell you whether you are looking at sealing, a resized return, or nothing at all.
A rust-colored ring has come up on the bedroom ceiling below the upstairs unit.
Get the drain looked at before the duct. An attic air handler with a horizontal coil drains through a trap into a line, with a secondary pan underneath, and a slow primary puts water in that pan directly above your ceiling. The stain is the last symptom rather than the first. We check the float switch while we are up there, because in these builds it was often fitted and never wired.
Our neighbor had their ducts cleaned and says we should too.
Same plan, same year and same crew does mean similar construction, and we do watch one defect repeat down a street here. What it does not mean is similar condition. Two identical layouts diverge quickly depending on filter habits, pets, remodels and whether the system ever ran with no filter in the slot. We would rather scope yours than price off theirs.
