Something wrong with your ducts right now? Call us.
Water in a run. Mold at a register. Something living in the ductwork. Soot after a fire. Call the line below — a real person answers, every day from 7 AM to midnight, usually within 2 minutes. We’ll tell you honestly whether this needs someone today or whether it can wait for a normal appointment.
24/7 emergency response (subject to crew availability) — we won’t promise a truck at 3 AM we can’t send.
Six situations we move for.
Most duct work isn’t urgent — that’s the honest baseline, and we’ll say so on the phone. These six are the exceptions, because waiting genuinely makes them worse or more expensive.
Water reached the ductwork
A roof leak, burst supply line, or flooded slab that put water into a run, a boot, or the air handler cabinet. Wet duct liner has a short window before it becomes a mold problem.
Visible mold at a register
Dark growth on the grille face, the boot, or the first few feet of a run — often paired with a musty smell that gets stronger when the system kicks on.
Animals or nesting in a run
Rodents, birds, or insects living in the ductwork — or a dead-animal odor coming out of the vents. Don't keep running the blower over it.
Soot or smoke through the system
After a house fire, a kitchen fire, or heavy smoke, soot travels the duct system and settles in every run — including rooms the fire never reached.
Construction dust blowing through
A demo or remodel running with an open return, or a brand-new build where drywall fines went straight into the runs before anyone sealed them.
Sudden air-quality change
A sharp new odor, a visible dust plume from the supplies, or symptoms in the house that track exactly with the system running.
Five things to do in the next 5 minutes.
- 1
Switch the system off
Set the thermostat fan to OFF, not AUTO. Every minute the blower runs it moves whatever is in the ducts into the rest of the house.
- 2
Cover the affected registers
Tape plastic or a plastic bag over the supply and return grilles in the affected area. It's crude, and it works — it keeps the contamination in the duct instead of the room.
- 3
Stop the water or the dust at the source
Shut off the leak, or stop the demo work, before anything else. Cleaning ducts under an active source is money burned.
- 4
Take photos
Photograph the register, the wet area, or whatever you're seeing — safely, from where you stand. It helps us confirm scope before we arrive and it's what your insurer will ask for.

We cover the whole DFW Metroplex.

Wet duct liner, active mold, and soot all get harder and more expensive the longer the system runs over them. One call settles whether this is today’s problem or next week’s.
